the phrase “it is what it is” is basically the entire collective of humanity giving up in five words and accepting complacency. stop.
We don’t go to space anymore.
“Discounts” are covered up by new taxes and/or fees.
A protest because of fiscal inequality was just a bunch of people who ended up not going to work for a few months and then left all their garbage and graffiti behind. Nothing changed because of their actions.
Work hard, get behind.
A couple of planes flew into a couple of buildings because someone who wasn’t the same color as a predominant species on a insignificant planet that hadn’t yet become self-aware of it’s insignificance was upset that the predominant colored country wasn’t funding their game of killing people anymore. Bonus: they claimed it was for a meta-physical being that can’t be proven and also thrives on being only in existence based on faith alone.
I can’t think of anything else. Oh wait, everyone born in the last 10 years has no idea what to do with their idle time because they’ve always grown up with 100+ channels of shit on TV and the internet has always been broadband and we had already landed on the moon, what else is there to do anyway?
There’s no need to go run around outside and get a couple of cuts and some scratches from some poison ivy or oak. No need to play cowboys and indians. No need to have an imagination or a sense to discover something that’s in your own backyard whether that be a concrete parking structure or a field full of cow shit. Can’t find anything interesting in any of those anyway, right, they are what they are.
i have always hated the phrase “it is what it is”.
